Thanks for your help raising almost £300 for BBC Children in Need
Generous visitors to William’s Den helped us raise almost £300 for the BBC Children in Need by joining in activities and adding to our donation boxes.
We enjoyed a day packed with events inside and outside the Den, from Pudsey arts and crafts, face painting, guess the name of the teddy (it was Patch) and a special story-time. Our lovely staff staged a bake-off (won by Daisy with her blush brownies), and volunteered to compete in a tough outdoor challenge involving an outdoor circuit of William’s Den, including tunnels and zipwire, dressed in a Pudsey onesie.
Visitors young and old made the day special by joining in the fun, cheering on competitors, supporting our crafty events – and buying our special Pudsey ice cream by the gallon. Radio Humberside paid us a visit, too, to report live on what we were up to. They also invited our guests to cuddle up to the cute little bear himself in the Pudsey Selfie Challenge,
At the end of the day, we totted up £293.53 raised to towards the BBC’s annual fundraising marathon to help children and young people in the UK who are disadvantaged. The charity currently supports 2,400 projects across the country. Well done to everyone and thanks again for your generous donations!
