If you're getting ready for the long stretch of the big summer holidays then make sure to add William's Summer Adventures to your list because this year, as well as all our amazing indoor and outdoor play favourites, William is on wheels!

We wanted to try something a bit different in 2023 and thought about how we can add new opportunities and skills to our adventures, and we came up with a really - or should that be wheel-ly?! - fantastic idea. Wheels. And more specifically, given how much we care about our environment, wheels that are powered by YOU!

So what's in store in our person-powered wheel adventures?

Learn to skateboard

We've commissioned not one purpose-built skate half-pipe but two! Bring your own wheels or borrow some of ours. We've got skateboards, scooters, and all the essential safety gear to give you the safest riding experience. Head to the meadow and talk to our team to get on the pipes!

Line-up for the Pedal Grand Prix

We've got go karts that only go when you're in the driver's seat - and ready to pedal! Our off-road karts have tough tyres to navigate the grass track and adjustable seats so that nearly everyone can get involved. Will you be the fastest in your family?

Little-leg tractor rally

Our pedal karts can be used by almost anyone but if you have a little one whose legs just won't stretch, head over to our tractor rally mat between the skateboards and the go kart track and let them race away on one of our miniature ride-on pedal tractors. Claas, Massey Ferguson, John Deere... which farm favourite will be yours?

Go wild with the Play Pioneers

The William's Den Play Pioneers love nothing more than meeting new friends and coming up with ways to add that extra helping of summer fun to your visit. From impromptu water gun fights on the hottest days and sandcastle competitions to ad hoc games and craft time when the weather is grim, keep an ear out for announcements and your eyes peeled for fun!

All day play - indoors and out

Our adventure play spaces are built for all weathers, whether it's sunny and hot or whether it's wetter than an otter's pocket. And you have the freedom to choose how you play - outdoors for big adventures or a spotlight moment on the amphitheatre, or indoors with our rainmaker, sandpit, and natural oak tree structures. A ticket to William's Den includes unlimited access to both these areas - all day long!
